Accidental art

During my little photography session yesterday a happy (at least in my book) coincidence took place. I kneeled over to take a picture of a lovely Coprinus comatus aka lawyer’s wig mushroom.

It turned out quite well IMO C:

But as I was kneeling and twisting to the bizarest of poses to get the angle I desired, I accidentally pressed the shutter while the camera was pointing to a random spot on the ground.

It’s totally out of focus and all, but it just pleases my eye really much in some unfamiliar way.

The dark brown thing in the lower left corner is actually my hair. I have fairly long dark brown hair and so it was partly touching the ground because of my posture. It somehow fits the picture though. Both the colour and texture seem to blend in. In fact I was thinking about taking more pictures with my hair incorporated to them :D It’s pretty hard though, because I can’t look through the camera, take it to the needed distance and keep my hair on the ground at the same time. But we’ll see, maybe I’ll come up with something. Also, I now feel like if a picture is out of focus it doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad.

I’ve learned a lot!

I’d love to hear your thoughts! ^^

A dream quote for today: “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.” <3
