A new project

Published September 29, 2013 by Dreamreflector

Everyone here knows about my passion for photography. Many of you also know about my passion for daydreaming. But what most of you probably don’t know about, is my passion for singing. I have had this passion for a long time, but it has not been that visible in this blog, (and I am keeping it that way, fear not). Now I have finally decided to come out of the bathtub and start keeping tabs of my singing via blogging. This is why I have started a new blog MyMelodyRealities. I am not looking to become the next “insert-pop-star-who-randomly-springed-to-easy-fame”. But I would like to hear honest, not-mean opinions, critique and encouragement, which ever you feel I need.

So, if that spiked you’re interest in anyway, go check it out ->

And here’s a pic of my new goat friend, just for fun :D

A greenhouse effect

Published September 11, 2013 by Dreamreflector

I am trying to grow some venus flytraps right now, since I absolutely love carnivorous plants. I bought a miniature greenhouse and decorated it appropriately, but so far the germination has been poor. Never mind, I spray them with water regularly to keep the humidity high. So one evening while I was doing this, I noticed that the droplets on the greenhouses’s walls with the setting sun hitting them looked quite photogenic. That’s my kind of greenhouse effect! C:

I sure hope the seeds will wake up soon. At least I know it’s not a question of lack of care.

The signs of Autumn

Published September 8, 2013 by Dreamreflector

It’s really becoming clear, that Autumn is coming. The mornings are crisp, the yellow-green ratio in the front yard birch is rapidly changing, and we had a hands-on course on fungi (mushrooms that is) at the university. Here are a few “Autumny” pictures I have taken C:

I found this weathered feather on the water bank and decided to prop him up so he could see the sunset : 3

The wind was rough and so were the waves.

This poor buddy was clinging to one of the rocks for dear life. I have no idea about the species :c

I walked to the lake through a forest and discovered this little blueberry leaf blushing. Perhaps he saw a cute lingonberry nearby? :D

I really can’t decide how I feel about Autumn. There’s parts of it I like and parts that I don’t. Good thing it comes even though I’m undecided. Do you like Autumn?

The daily bread

Published September 7, 2013 by Dreamreflector

So, I was feeding some ducks with bread the other day…

They were jolly fellows, and seemed utterly fearless too :D Only a few chunks of bread later they were fully willing to take the pieces right of my fingertips.

After the three had eaten half a loaf of bread, they calmly retreated to a nice afternoon nap.

They were really cute, but the more interesting part came after this. A crow had been patiently observing everything from a near by tree.

I threw a few chunks of bread in hopes of him coming to me for it as the ducks had, but he was far less tame than they had been. Turned out he was far more clever too. He waited patiently for the right moment, which appeared, when I moved further a way from the bread crumblings and to an angle where my bike was between them and me.

He stuffed his beak full of the bread chunks, using a nearby rock to aid the process.

And with that, he majestically walked of to the bushes somewhere to feast in privacy.

I was left in awe by the beauty and intelligence of these underrated birds.
