Leaves drop

Published October 23, 2012 by Dreamreflector

The Autumn is nearing at an end. Winters coming. Yesterday the frost on the grass and the ice on the puddles didn’t melt for the whole day. Today was a bit warmer, but the puddles where still partly frozen. Hrrr.. I had a free day from the university today, so I went to take some photographs. It was only a quick 20 minute session but I still got a few shots I’d like to share with you C: Hope you like them!

If you look very closely you’ll see that the lady in the picture must have thought her outfit through very carefully. A perfect match! Or maybe it was just a coincidence. Either way, I couldn’t pass the opportunity :D

As you can see, most trees have lost nearly all their leaves, unlike the beautiful yellow-leaved trees on the upper picture. And also unlike in the upper picture, it’s mostly not that bright and light anymore. There’s no cheery beauty to this picture, rather a thorn bush like dark beauty.

As many of you regulars remember I love ice! The fact that something so simple can have so many beautiful forms just inspires me every time. I look forward to the air getting even colder so I can take some photographs of it ^^ This picture was taken at a brook which was partly frozen.

A dream quote for today: “Sometimes on the way to a dream, you get lost and find a better one.”

Have a lovely day everyone! ^^

Fall’s radiant reds

Published October 12, 2012 by Dreamreflector

Once again I’m in the train, the internet works and all is well. During my absence from blogging the Autumn has hit my new home town full on. I haven’t had time to take a lot of pictures, me being at the university takes quite a lot of time. But here are a few glimpses to the Finnish Autumn ^^

This blueberry leaves have settled into Autumn with gorgeous red hues ^^

The rowans have had a huge harvest this year. “Ei pihlaja kanna kahta taakkaa” says the Finnish saying. It literally means “A rowan won’t carry two burdens” and it suggest that during years of plentyful rowanberry harvest, there will be little or no snow the following Winter. Hope it’s not true though, because  I’d love to see a lot of snow! Anyway the berry’s have an intense redness to them C:

This huge fly agaric is very red and very toxic. I still found this one beautiful somehow.

And here’s a bonus. A yellow invasion! :D I just love colors, and that’s one of the things I like the most about Autumn.

A dream quote for today: “Dreams won’t always take you on a straight path to destiny but they’re usually related to what your soul wants for you. They’ll force you to ask yourself the hard questions, they’ll kick your ass and more importantly, they’ll turn you on.” ^^
